Dear Friends and Family,

It’s Christmas time once again and we wanted to let all of you know how we are doing. Carrie, Alex, Stephanie and I are so thankful that we have such a loving circle of family and friends. We hope that your year was as fulfilling as our’s was.

Carrie continues to be the busiest woman I know. As though raising two beautiful children is not hectic enough, she’s also involved in basketball, volleyball, preschool, and just recently, selling Discovery toys. She also volunteers twice a week at the health club nursery where she works out. She is a wonderful wife, mother, and friend.

Alex is all BOY. He will be four this February, going on eighteen. His favorite pastimes are playing with his sister and terrorizing the cat. He also seems to enjoy the time that Dad can find to play rough with him. He took swimming lessons this year and is going to preschool twice a week. And to think we yearned for him to start talking!

Stephanie, A.K.A. Curly, is a clone of her mother. She already makes her intentions known and is not afraid to stand up for what her little mind thinks is right. On more than one occasion, I have been brow-beaten by my one and a half-year-old daughter. And if her willingness to stand up to her Marine sergeant Daddy is any indication of her future will, I will not need to do much boyfriend-screening. But for now she is still my sweet little girl.

As for me, I am in my third year and the University of Washington. I am majoring in Technical Communication and am maintaining a 3.63 GPA. This year I celebrated my eight-year anniversary in the Marine Corps along with my 27th birthday (Bug). I am kept busy with NROTC unit activities, scholastics, security work at Husky stadium, and family time. I am going a million different directions at once and would not have it any other way.

We are staying here in Washington for the holidays with Carrie’s family. We are happy to once again spend Christmas with close family but we wish we could see all of you. Be assured that you will all be in our thoughts during this special time of year.

God bless you all

Jason, Carrie, Alex, Stephanie, and Sidney the Cat
