HOW TO SCREW OVER YOUR BUDDY IN BOOTCAMP

Sgt. Grose,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!  I want to applaud you for your entertaining strories from boot camp.  I myself am a fellow Marine currently serving with the 24th Marine Regiment. My unit supports my platoon of 0352's (TOW). I am a nursing student at Central Missouri State University with hopes of attending medical school one day, and was surfing  around the net looking at medical schools when I decided to check out the USMC.  And it was there that I came across you web page, motivating!  It is outstanding Marines, like yourself, that makes the Marine Corps what it is today.

Reading those stories made me reflect back on my boot camp experiences.  I especially enjoyed you M&M story.  I can recall one recruit that had a chronic habit of sticking cookies down his trousers before leaving the chow hall.  Well, when we got to the second cycle I became his squad leader and the junior DI found him eating his cookies in the rack one night.  Needless to say, recuit Cooper D.J. and I got bent for a good hour in the class room the next morning. And every evening for the rest of that cycle the junior DI would put Cooper in the "electric chair" with a cookie hanging out of his mouth.  Well, I just wanted to thank you for your stories Sgt. and wish you good luck with school.
                        Semper Fi and God Bless,
                                Cpl. Eric Bopp
