Like most things in bootcamp, memory is the beginning of full
understanding. therefore, your best bet is to memorize certain
things verbatim. Like General Orders and Leadership Traits, the
Leadership Principles can be memorized using memory aides.
Tip #1: There are 11 Principles and 14 Traits. These are
often confused. Imagine the two "i's" in the word "Principle"
as numbers, therefore, there are 11 "Pr1inc1ples."
Tip #2: The word "Principles" is long, like the sentences.
The word "Traits" is short, like the word.
Tip #3: Remember "The Klu Klux Klan seems to be trained."
(sorry about the reference but the worse the reference, the
better you will remember it). Now you have the first letters
and then you memorize the rest.
