This is an email from a Marine CO to a Sergeant Major who had
just had a Marine check into his unit.
MAG 13 had an inbound Marine stay there Sunday night.
He reported in Monday morning. He was delayed slightly
while he apprehended a thief who tried to rob him in his room.
He caught the thief going through his wallet. The
thief claimed he worked at the Motel 6. A short struggle
ensued but our Marine gained control and physically escorted
said thief to the front desk. The front desk called police.
While waiting for police thief decided he wanted to leave.
Wrong answer. A second, more violent struggle ensued resulting
in thief on the deck with Marine in control on top. Some
blows were thrown. Police arrived, handed cuffs to Marine
so he could do the honors.
I think the police were impressed because our hero was in
Service Alpha uniform.
P. S. FOR THE NON-MILITARY FOLKS, THE SERVICE ALPHA UNIFORM
IS A GREEN TAILORED DRESS UNIFORM THAT TENDS TO BE CONFINING BUT
LOOKS REAL SHARP.
